I like to think of each and every one of us as being, in our own ways, storytelling machines. Who knows. Maybe that's our purpose in this equally playful and perplexing existence of ours. For me, the concept rings particularly true, as the simple act of writing, expressing, conjuring, storytelling—whatever you prefer to call it—never fails to bring my heart joy. It reliably reminds me that I am nothing more than a happy little storytelling machine, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
