I like to think of each and every one of us as being, in our own ways, storytelling machines. Who knows. Maybe that's even our purpose in this silly and perplexing existence of ours. For me, the concept rings particularly true, as the simple act of writing, expressing, sharing, conjuring, storytelling...whatever you prefer to call it... never fails to bring to my humble heart an amount of joy that no other pursuit has yet to replicate; sans waking up beside my wife every day, that is. Throughout it all, whether it has been through the writing of song, poetry, biographical works, journalism, philosophical musings, or horror novels, the simple act of sharing stories has come to consistently remind me that I am nothing but a happy little storytelling machine, and I wouldn't have it any other way. And since, for whatever reason, you're still reading these words,
I hope that the stories that I tell bring to you as much joy as they reliably do to me.
